Chronology
A Montana ranching family faces off against others who are encroaching on their land… Forry J. Smith, who plays Lloyd, is a veteran of the rodeo world. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) often seems to have „forgotten” his Montana accent and reverts back to the SoCal voice he usually uses. I don’t think anyone does westerns better than Kevin Costner, and with Taylor Sheridan’s script, this is a win-win for viewers. Check out „Wind River” for an example of what Taylor Sheridan can do. Where’s Cole Houser? He’s incredible. I guess the daughter is a necessary part, but she’s overdoing it being a bitch. The scenery is fantastic, and being from Colorado, I can really appreciate the vast beautiful landscape. Do yourself a favor and get hooked on this series, because it’s going to be a winner.
